Meet The Committee
Along with the coaches there is a set group of people that make up the Essex Blades committee every year. These people are current players and have to put a case forward to be elected for each position by the fellow players. Below is your Essex Blades 2010/2011 committee and a small message from them about what they do in their role.
Zade Al-Samerrai - Fund-Raising Officer
Hey, Im Zade and im the fund-raising officer for this year. This job entails me to raise money for the club as well as charity to make sure we can afford to continue playing the sport we love.
Simon Stevenson - Kit Man
Hello, im Simon Stevenson, this year I will be in charge of all the equipment at the club. This means I dish out the pads and helmets and make sure everyone is well equipped and safe.
Simon Cruise - Secretary
Hello, I am Simon. As the clubs Secretary I make sure all the admin side of the game is filled out and correct. I will be registering you all for the league and generally keep the oil in the machine
Phillip Casson - President

Luke Clark - Treasurer
Hey my name is Luke. My job for this year is treasure. This basically means im the accountant for the club balancing all the books, it also means im the guy who collects the subs and am the right person to speak to regarding any money issues.
James Woodward - Publicity Officer
Hello, My name is James Woodward. Im the publicity officer, this means I write the ever so funny programme for game days and create all the posters you will see to promote the club.
James Thornton - Exec Advisor
Hello, as last years President I can proved an insight to the committee of at what time they should be operating and using my experience as a helping push in the right direction.
Jake Hawkins - Game Day Coordinator
A wise man once said "im Game day bitches" He said this because it was his job to make sure Game Day runs smoothly. It is now my job. I will be setting out the field and booking the transport so we get to where we need to go on time.
Chris Palmer - Social Secretary
Hi, im Chris aka Ryan Leaf and will be the social sec for this year. Im the one in charge of the fun social side to playing and should be contacted if you are interesting in having a good time and making some new friends.
